February Artist: Jeremy Favors

Born and raised in Palmer Alaska, Jeremy was always interested in the landscapes he saw both at home and on his travels to the midwest. Upon moving to Seattle in 1996, the intrigues and excitement of a larger city engulfed him and the concrete streets became his home. While working as a picture framer he eventually graduated from The Art Institute of Seattle, focused on graphic design. Not fully satisfied with that profession, Jeremy went back to picture framing where he could collaborate with artists while working with his hands to create thought provoking visuals. In 2003, Jeremy bought a small set of acrylics and completed his first painting. With that creation he continued on and started to compose his visions, resembling the landscapes he remembered as a child. Jeremy now lives and works in West Seattle where nature and the "city life" coexist.
